How do I withdraw from class?
You must do the following. Go to Student Records located in the Admissions and Registration Center at McAlister Square
or you also withdraw with a student advisor at Brashier, Greer or Northwest. Complete a Course Enrollment Update form. A “W” will show on your transcript
How do I apply for scholarships?
Complete a FAFSA application. Complete a one-page scholarship application form. Turn application in to the Financial Aid Office.
Where can I get my CampusCruiser password reset?
Any of the open labs can assist with getting a new CampusCruiser password.
A picture ID must be shown.
What do I do when inclement weather arrives? Inclement Weather
What if I want to change my major?
Stop by Admissions (ARC @ McAlister Square) or at Brashier, Greer or Northwest and complete a Program Change Form as a first step. The Admissions Officer will determine your eligibility for the new program. The form must be submitted before you register for classes in the new program.
What if my name, address, phone number or social security number is wrong or needs to be changed?
Stop by Admissions (ARC @ McAlister Square) or at Brashier, Greer or Northwest and complete a Status Change Form.
What does it mean to be full-time?
If you are registered for at least 12 semester credit hours during the Fall, Spring, or Summer semester, you are considered a full-time student for that semester. (To be full-time for all three semesters of a full academic and financial aid year, you would need to carry at least 36 total semester hours over the three semesters. To be full-time for both Fall and Spring, you would need to carry at least 24 total semester hours over the two semesters.) Any semester for which your schedule is below 12 credit hours means you are not full-time for that semester.
What is the difference between videocourses, online courses and teleclasses?
Videocourses:
Buy the course videotapes or watch the course sessions on Cable Channel 14 (Charter Communications).
Online courses: Taken via the Internet in the privacy of home or office, these are supplemented with textbook and online activities of faculty-student and student-student interaction, hands-on assignments, and testing. Several online courses require access codes to enter the course lectures.
Teleclasses: Two-way audio and video at Barton, Brashier, Greer and Northwest campuses. Attend what looks like a "traditional classroom" with the exception of being on-camera when questions are asked or respond to questions when initiated by the instructor.
