Financial Aid

In order to apply for financial aid, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Completing FAFSA online is the preferred method. Be sure to add Greenville Tech's code, #003991, to your FAFSA application.

A completed FAFSA is required to determine eligibility for all types of financial aid including federal and state grants, student loans, institutional scholarships and South Carolina Education Lottery Assistance.

You will receive a Student Aid Report SAR within 2 weeks after submitting your online FAFSA. Greenville Tech will also receive this information and will notify you by letter within two weeks if other documentation is required.

Once your financial aid application process is complete, you will receive an award letter. This award letter will list the types and amounts of financial aid you have been awarded.

After we receive the required documents, including your signed award letter, your financial aid funds are eligible to be applied to the balance due for tuition, books, and/or fees. Aid is applied to student accounts after second-week class rosters are verified by faculty. Normally, financial aid refund checks will be mailed to you within 4 to 6 weeks after classes begin.

If you add, drop, or withdraw from classes, we recommend a visit to the Financial Aid office. If financial aid is awarded, the student does not have to pay tuition up front.

In order to keep your financial aid, you must maintain SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS as follows:
